Glowing dye could sharpen spine Surgeons' vision

NCT ID NCT07363759

Summary

This study tested a new technique to help surgeons perform back fusion surgery more precisely. Researchers used a special contrast dye during surgery to make the spinal disc space easier to see on X-rays. They compared outcomes for patients whose surgeons used this visual feedback to those who had standard surgery, to see if it led to better cleaning of the disc space and improved patient results.
