New islamic therapy uses Chair-Work to heal lingering grief

Summary

This study tests a new therapy that combines Islamic teachings with chair-work techniques to help Muslims who have been grieving for more than six months. The goal is to resolve unfinished emotional business with a deceased loved one, such as unfulfilled wishes or unresolved conflicts. Fifteen adults who lost someone 6 months to 5 years ago will receive the therapy and be monitored for changes in grief severity and emotional well-being.
