First seen May 03, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study compares two types of iron supplements—standard ferrous salt and newer liposomal iron—in 100 women with iron-deficiency anemia. Participants will take one of three treatments for three months: daily ferrous salt, ferrous salt every other day, or daily liposomal iron. The goal is to see which approach best raises hemoglobin levels while causing fewer stomach-related side effects.
