First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study looked at 12 healthy adults aged 18-25 to find out when a hormone called irisin peaks after different types of exercise. Participants did high-intensity intervals, moderate continuous running, and low-intensity running. Blood samples were taken before and after each session to measure irisin and lactate levels. The goal was to understand how exercise intensity affects irisin release timing.
