First seen Apr 10, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This early study tests a new treatment made from stem cells that grow into insulin-producing cells. It is for people with type 1 diabetes who have dangerous low blood sugar episodes. Ten participants will receive the cells through a vein or under the belly skin. The main goal is to check safety, but researchers will also see if it reduces the need for insulin shots.
