Light therapy for stubborn eyelid bumps falls short in tiny study
NCT ID NCT07039461
First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 31 times
Summary
This study looked at whether intense pulsed light (IPL) can safely treat chalazion, a common eyelid lump. Only 4 adults with a fresh chalazion (less than 4 weeks old) were enrolled. The study was stopped early, so we don't have clear results on how well IPL works for this condition.
