New combo therapy gives hope to elderly esophageal cancer patients

Summary

This study tests whether adding the immunotherapy drug iparomlimab after standard chemoradiation can help older adults (70+) with inoperable esophageal cancer live longer without the disease getting worse. About 52 participants will receive the drug for one year after chemoradiation. The goal is to improve outcomes while keeping side effects manageable.
