First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study tests whether a daily supplement of indole-3-propionic acid (IPA), a natural substance made by gut bacteria, can help people with relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis (RRMS). Researchers will track 220 adults over 27 months to see if IPA reduces relapses, brain lesions, and disability progression. The goal is to find a safe, easy way to better control MS alongside standard treatments.
