New hope for rare appendix cancer: targeted chemotherapy delivered straight to the belly

Summary

This study tests a chemotherapy drug called paclitaxel, given directly into the abdominal cavity, for people with appendix cancer that has spread. The goal is to find a safe dose and see if it helps control the disease. About 39 adults with advanced appendix cancer that cannot be surgically removed will take part.
