New hope for bipolar depression: early aggressive treatment may help when first meds fail
NCT ID NCT05973786
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 31 times
Summary
This study tests whether starting a stronger, six-week medication plan early can help people with bipolar depression whose first treatment didn't work. About 418 adults will either get the intensified treatment or continue usual care. The goal is to see if early action leads to better mood control and fewer depressive symptoms.
