Could a breathing exercise and music tame cancer treatment fatigue?
NCT ID NCT07754565
First seen Aug 10, 2026 · Last updated Aug 11, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This trial tests whether combining pranayama breathing exercises with music listening can help manage fatigue and improve quality of life in cancer patients receiving immunotherapy. Sixty participants are split into two groups: one receives the integrative therapy alongside their treatment, while the other receives standard care. Researchers measure changes in fatigue and quality of life using validated scales to see if this gentle, non-drug approach offers meaningful benefits.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only, not medical advice or a prediction.
- Active substance
- Pranayama breathing exercises and music listening during immunotherapy
- What this could lead to
- If effective, this could offer a simple, drug-free way to help cancer patients manage fatigue and improve their quality of life during immunotherapy.
- What could go wrong
- This is a small, early-stage trial, so results may not apply broadly. The benefits of breathing and music may be modest and vary from person to person.
