Summary
This study tested whether people with opioid use disorder and severe injection-related infections could be treated safely at home instead of in the hospital. Participants received antibiotics through an IV along with medication for addiction. The goal was to see if this combined approach helps people stop using illicit opioids and complete their infection treatment.
