New insulin strategy aims to protect kidneys in diabetes patients

Summary

This study tests a method called physiologic insulin resensitization (PIR) in 120 adults with advanced chronic kidney disease and type 2 diabetes. The goal is to see if PIR can improve kidney function and blood sugar control better than standard care. Participants will be randomly assigned to receive PIR or continue their usual treatment.
