Summary

This study tested two long-acting insulins, glargine and degludec, to see which is safer and more effective for controlling high blood sugar caused by steroid medications in hospitalized adults. 79 patients with or without type 2 diabetes took part. The goal was to find the best way to manage this common side effect and reduce complications.
