First seen Jan 30, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 11 times

Summary

This pilot study looks at whether using a PowerBreathe device—a non-invasive inspiratory muscle trainer—can improve lung function, exercise capacity, and quality of life in 21 female athletes. Participants do regular sports training plus PowerBreathe sessions for 10 weeks, then a two-month break, then 10 more weeks of training without the device. The goal is to see if the device makes a real difference in breathing strength and athletic success.
