Sleep therapy may protect PTSD hearts
NCT ID NCT04498754
Summary
This study investigated whether treating insomnia could reduce the risk of heart disease in people with PTSD. Researchers enrolled 140 adults with both PTSD and insomnia to test an 8-week sleep therapy program. They measured changes in blood pressure, blood vessel function, and other heart risk factors to see if better sleep improved heart health.
