Summary
This study looks at how insomnia affects a brain chemical called norepinephrine, sleep quality, and thinking skills in adults aged 55 and older. Researchers will compare 60 people with insomnia to those with normal sleep, using blood tests, sleep monitoring, and a light therapy intervention. The goal is to understand why older adults with insomnia have a higher risk for Alzheimer's disease and related dementias.
