NCT ID NCT05457218
First seen May 21, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026
Summary
This study looked at whether protein powders made from insects (IPC80 and whole buffalo powder) can turn on muscle-building processes in the body. Twenty healthy adults took a single dose of insect protein or whey protein, and researchers measured how their blood affected muscle cells in a lab. The goal was to see if insect protein works as well as whey for starting muscle growth.
