First seen May 20, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tested whether inositol, a natural substance that helps the body use insulin, can improve ovulation in women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) who did not get pregnant with the drug letrozole. 36 women aged 18-35 took part. The researchers compared inositol to metformin, another insulin-sensitizing drug, to see which worked better for triggering ovulation.
