Could inner ear issues explain falls in Parkinson's?

NCT ID NCT04768647

Summary

This study aimed to understand why people with Parkinson's disease often have balance problems and difficulty walking, which don't improve with standard Parkinson's medications. Researchers tested 60 people with Parkinson's to see if inner ear (vestibular) system changes might be responsible for these balance and walking issues. The study measured inner ear function and explored whether stimulating this system could help improve movement.
