First seen Nov 18, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study tested whether a technique called Integrated Neuromuscular Inhibition (INIT) can improve shoulder movement, muscle strength, and shoulder blade position better than standard exercises in young adults with scapular dyskinesia (abnormal shoulder blade motion). Eighty-two participants received either INIT or conventional exercises three times a week for six weeks. Researchers measured changes in range of motion, strength, and scapular position at weeks 4 and 6.
