First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study looks at whether inhaled insulin (Afrezza) is safer than pump insulin for preventing low blood sugar during exercise after a meal in adults with type 1 diabetes. About 30 people aged 18-65 who use a Tandem insulin pump with Control-IQ will complete three exercise sessions in a clinic. The goal is to see if the inhaled insulin leads to fewer blood sugar drops below 70 mg/dL within 90 minutes of starting exercise.
