First seen Nov 05, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study tests a new way to manage type 1 diabetes in teens aged 10 to 17 who were just diagnosed. Instead of multiple daily injections, participants use inhaled insulin (Afrezza) along with a long-acting insulin shot. The goal is to see if this combination helps keep blood sugar in a healthy range and is easy for teens and families to use. The main part lasts 13 weeks, with an option to continue for up to 26 weeks.
