Heat-Sensing camera could spot wound infections before they worsen

NCT ID NCT07524062

First seen Apr 19, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a harmless thermal camera can help doctors monitor surgical wounds after skin surgery. The goal is to catch problems like infection or slow healing earlier than usual. About 120 adults having skin lesion removal will take part. The camera measures temperature changes in the wound over time to see if it matches normal healing or signals trouble.
