Higher infliximab doses show promise for tough RA cases
NCT ID NCT00691028
First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study tested whether increasing the dose of infliximab (a drug that blocks inflammation) helps people with active rheumatoid arthritis who were not helped enough by methotrexate alone. A total of 327 adults received three starting doses of infliximab, then were split into groups getting 3, 6, or 10 mg/kg along with methotrexate. The goal was to see if higher doses improve joint pain, swelling, and daily function. The results help doctors decide the best dose for controlling this chronic condition.
