New study aims to shield myeloma patients from Life-Threatening infections

Summary
This study tests whether giving immune globulin (IGI) infusions regularly can prevent serious infections in adults with multiple myeloma who are receiving a type of immunotherapy called bispecific antibody therapy. About 183 participants will be randomly assigned to receive IGI either from the start (primary prevention) or only after a serious infection occurs (secondary prevention). The goal is to see if starting IGI early reduces the risk of severe infections.
