First seen Apr 07, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study follows 200 infants from birth to 18 months to see how and when they naturally pick up and clear Clostridioides difficile bacteria from their digestive tract. Researchers will collect stool samples and track diet changes to understand what influences this process. The goal is to learn more about gut bacteria balance in healthy babies, not to test any treatment.
