First seen Jan 08, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 15 times
Summary
This study looked at whether infant formula with added human milk oligosaccharides (HMOs) — natural sugars found in breast milk — helps healthy babies grow and digest well. About 125 full-term infants, aged 7 days to 2 months, were fed the special formula for 8 weeks. Researchers measured growth and used a questionnaire to check for tummy troubles, aiming to see how the formula works outside a strict lab setting.
