NCT ID NCT07538388
First seen Apr 23, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study compares two methods of giving norepinephrine (a drug that raises blood pressure) during the start of anesthesia in high-risk patients having major non-cardiac surgery. The goal is to see which method—continuous infusion or on-demand doses—better prevents dangerously low blood pressure. About 446 adults aged 45 and older with certain risk factors (like age 65+, high blood pressure, or diabetes) will participate.
