Tiny babies, big question: does more humidity in incubators help?
NCT ID NCT06399861
Summary
This study aims to find the best humidity level for incubators caring for extremely premature babies born before 25 weeks. Researchers will compare starting with high humidity (90%) versus lower humidity (70%) for 350 infants. The goal is to see if higher humidity reduces early weight loss from dehydration without increasing risks to survival or causing other serious health problems.
