Summary
This phase 2 trial tests a drug called INBRX-109 in about 206 people with conventional chondrosarcoma that cannot be removed by surgery or has spread. The drug is an antibody designed to kill cancer cells. Half the participants get the drug, half get a placebo. The main goal is to see if the drug slows cancer growth and improves survival.

What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
INBRX-109 (a lab-made antibody that targets a protein on cancer cells to trigger cell death)
What this could lead to
If it works, this could provide a new treatment option for people with inoperable or metastatic conventional chondrosarcoma, a rare bone cancer with few effective therapies.
What could go wrong
This is a mid-stage trial with 206 participants, so results are not yet proven. The drug may not improve survival or could cause side effects. It is also only for a specific type of sarcoma.
Conditions
