First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study tests a new, non-invasive imaging technique that uses a special microscope to look at skin lesions in detail without cutting the skin. The goal is to improve early detection of skin cancer and reduce the number of biopsies needed. Over 1,800 people with skin lesions and healthy volunteers took part. The method is still being studied and is not yet ready for routine use.
