NCT ID NCT06646185

First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study looks at how using pads, tampons, or menstrual cups for two months each changes the types of bacteria in the vagina. One hundred women from Peru, Cameroon, and Switzerland will try all three products in a random order. They will provide self-collected swabs to measure bacterial levels. The goal is to understand if any product is better or worse for vaginal health.
