Summary

This study tested a behavioral approach to help children with autism and severe destructive behavior (like aggression or self-injury) communicate more flexibly and reduce problem behaviors. Nine children aged 5 to 13 took part. The goal was to make communication training more effective and prevent behavior from returning when routines change.
