Researchers ask: would you use an HIV prevention implant?
NCT ID NCT05420207
Summary
This study aimed to understand what men at risk for HIV and their doctors think about a potential future prevention method: a long-acting implant placed under the skin. Researchers interviewed 69 people in Texas, including patients and physicians, to learn about their attitudes, potential barriers to use, and what training doctors might need. The goal is to gather information to help make such an implant more acceptable and easier to implement if it becomes available in the future.
