Dental implant shape may impact bone loss, new study finds

NCT ID NCT06636097

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 18, 2026 · Updated 43 times

Summary

This study examines whether the shape (concave or convex) of the top surface of full-arch dental implants is linked to bone loss around the implants. Researchers will measure bone levels and plaque buildup in 50 adults who have had these implants for at least a year. The goal is to understand if certain shapes lead to better long-term implant health.
