First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study looked at 234 adults with ulcerative colitis whose colonoscopy showed healed gut lining (Mayo 0 or 1). Researchers tracked how increasing, decreasing, or switching treatments affected patients' quality of life over 6 and 12 months. They also measured inflammation markers like fecal calprotectin to see if they could predict flare-ups. The goal was to find the best way to manage treatment while keeping patients feeling well.
