First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study looked at whether non-surgical gum treatment can reduce teeth grinding (bruxism) in people with advanced gum disease. Forty adults with stage III or IV periodontitis and healthy controls were monitored before and three months after treatment. The goal was to see if treating gum inflammation also lowers grinding episodes.
