NCT ID NCT07379749
First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 15 times
Summary
This study looks at 140 adults getting a plastic stent to relieve bile duct blockage. If bile collected during the first procedure shows infection, patients are randomly assigned to have the stent replaced at 1 month instead of the usual 3 months. The goal is to see if earlier replacement lowers the chance of stent clogging and repeat bile duct infections.
