Stomach cancer mystery: why do some patients resist immunotherapy?
NCT ID NCT07259473
First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study looks at a specific type of stomach cancer (dMMR/MSI-H) that often responds well to immunotherapy, but about half of patients do not. Researchers want to understand why some patients benefit and others don't, by studying tumor samples before and during treatment. The goal is to find clues that could help personalize treatment and overcome resistance. The study involves 15 adults with advanced but operable stomach cancer who will receive immunotherapy before surgery.
