This study looked at 50 adults with severe pancreatitis who had infected, walled-off dead tissue in the pancreas. Doctors compared doing an endoscopic cleaning right away versus waiting and only cleaning if needed. The goal was to see which approach leads to faster recovery and fewer hospital days.
