New study tests gum tissue graft as alternative to membrane for dental implants
NCT ID NCT07415486
First seen Feb 21, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 14 times
Summary
This study compares two ways to fix bone gaps around immediate dental implants in the front of the mouth. One method uses a collagen membrane, the other uses a small piece of the patient's own gum tissue. The goal is to see if the gum tissue works just as well for bone healing while possibly improving how the gums look. Twenty-four adults will take part, and results will be checked over 12 months.
