New imaging tool may spot hidden leukemia

NCT ID NCT03633955

First seen Mar 05, 2026 · Last updated Jun 11, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study tests whether a special PET scan (18F FLT) can detect signs of leukemia or myeloma after treatment. About 60 people aged 4 to 80 with relapsed or hard-to-treat blood cancers will get the scan before and after therapy. Researchers will compare the scan results with standard lab tests to see if the imaging can spot disease activity that other tests might miss.
