New stent graft shows promise for treating dangerous iliac aneurysms

Summary
This study tested a special stent graft (E-liac) to treat bulges in the iliac artery, which can be life-threatening if they burst. 71 patients received the device, either alone or with other grafts for related aortic bulges. The goal was to see if the stent graft could safely prevent rupture and death. Patients needed to be healthy enough for the procedure and agree to long-term follow-up.
