New eye implant combo aims to tame glaucoma pressure

NCT ID NCT06066645

First seen Jan 28, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding a tiny implant that releases medication (iDose TR) to another implant that helps fluid drain (iStent infinite) can lower eye pressure better than the drain implant alone. About 230 adults with open-angle glaucoma or high eye pressure will take part. The goal is to see if the combination is safe and more effective at controlling eye pressure over 12 months.
