New drug tested to keep critically ill patients comfortably asleep
NCT ID NCT05913336
Summary
This study tested a drug called remimazolam to see if it could safely keep adult ICU patients comfortably sedated while they were on a breathing machine for at least three days. The main goal was to see how well the drug maintained the right level of sleep without needing extra rescue medications. Researchers enrolled 24 patients to monitor the drug's effectiveness and safety.
