Summary
This study reviewed the medical records of 532 adults who had a palliative care consult before, during, or after an ICU stay at a Swiss hospital between 2019 and 2024. Researchers looked at what led to the consult, how long patients stayed in the hospital, and what happened to them afterward. The goal is to better understand current practices, not to test a new treatment.
