Summary

This study is testing a new training program to help intensive care unit (ICU) doctors have better conversations with families of critically ill patients. The goal is to see if this approach can reduce racial disparities in how decisions are made during these stressful situations. Researchers will work with ICU doctors and families of patients on breathing machines to test whether the program is practical and helpful.
