First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study tested whether a special green dye, injected before surgery, can help surgeons see and protect nerves during minimally invasive spine surgery for herniated discs. Forty adults took part, receiving either standard surgery or surgery with the dye. The goal was to see if the dye makes nerve identification safer and faster, potentially reducing the risk of nerve injury.
