Summary
This study tested whether applying ice packs after wisdom tooth removal helps with recovery. Twenty patients had both wisdom teeth removed in one surgery, with ice applied to only one side of their face. The side treated with ice packs had less pain, shorter pain duration, and required less pain medication than the untreated side.
